How our art-to-WEAR collaboration is changing

If you’ve noticed that we haven’t been on screen together much lately, let us tell you why. 

Our art clothing business has taken us on a rich and wild journey of learning, interpersonal skill development and self discovery.

Within one and a half years we started a business partnership, launched two epic collections, travelled all of the place with our market stall, had breakdowns from burnout and changing perimenopausal bodies, grew a community of like-hearted women, learnt alllll the tech, found epic maker partners and created something extremely special 🥰

We’ve loved it. And we’ve felt burdened by it sometimes too. 

By the end of last year we knew something major had to shift because it had stopped working for us. 

But, don’t panic! We’re not going anywhere 👯‍♀️

Over the past few months we’ve been in the chrysalis, morphing, growing, changing shape and we’re on the precipice of reemerging into the wild world again.

Here’s what’s happening…

Dalee will be returning to her passion of making paper prints and being home with her family for the last few years of very special time with (big) kids, as well as undertaking the next huge phase of their off grid home build. 

Running a clothing business is a massive undertaking. We often joke about it, because it's so ridiculously time consuming. So, for Dalee, there simply isn’t space for all of these things at once. 

Clarey on the other hand, has all the time in the world to dedicate to her passion, which is and always has been, serving women through her thoughtful and comfy AF clothing designs. 

Neither of us want the collaboration to end. It’s just too GOOD. 

So we’ve found a way to keep going that will serve us both and means we can still offer up our much loved art-to-wear. 

Clarey is taking the business on and will be merging it with her brand Storyline, under the new umbrella label, Slow Fashion Australia 🙌

Dalee will continue to make artwork for the clothing, inspire Clarey to make more feminine styles and generally collaborate. Without *all* the hours!

It’s a win win win 🏆 

Slow Fashion Australia will be launching on the 23rd of Jan with our Poppy Dresses and Wrap Dresses. Both Dalee Ella AND Storyline prints.

Dalee will continue sharing her art practice and prints on @dalee.ella.printmaker. She also will be launching her new website daleeellaprintmaker.com.au when she is ready. 

We both want to say the biggest warmest thank you for being here and helping us birth this beautiful baby label into the world. 

We’ve both learnt SO much and it’s brought so much richness and goodness into our lives. We hope you've loved it as much as us.
